Deep Links are smart links that open directly inside an app—like Spotify—instead of a web page or app store. In the context of Pre-Saves, deep linking is what allows fans to securely authorize the pre-save before the release goes live.
With Releese Pre-Saves, deep linking is fully supported on both iOS and Android for Spotify. This means fans are sent straight into the Spotify app to authorize the pre-save, creating a faster and more reliable experience.
Without deep linking, fans who click a pre-save link inside in-app browsers (such as Instagram, TikTok, or X) would often be forced to log in to Spotify again to complete the authorization. Releese avoids this friction by detecting active Spotify sessions whenever possible—so for most fans, the pre-save happens instantly with no extra steps.
If a fan has never completed a Spotify pre-save through Releese before, they’ll be prompted once to approve Spotify’s third-party permissions. After that initial approval, all future Releese pre-saves will complete automatically.
