While we’re not able to directly replace the audio file after a song has been delivered, there is a simple way to go about it. We can create a duplicate single, with a blank UPC and then issue a takedown for the original, and merge the 2 songs (including streams).
How to do this :
Log into your account and go into the Releases page (left sidebar), click + Create Release (Top Right Corner), name it the same title and give it the same graphic as the original release, and click Create Release.
Go to the Recordings page of this release (left sidebar), and click Automations (Top Right Corner), then Import Recordings. From there Select the song you’re going to replace the audio on.
You’ll see your song show up on your page.
On the song you want to replace audio for, click the Metadata dropdown, and go to the General Tab, then Replace Audio and upload the new version of the song.
Double check your metadata is correct and matches the original song. The only difference will be the new audio and to make sure to leave the UPC field blank.
After you have verified your metadata, go to Distribution (left sidebar), and click Distribute Your release. Click Submit (top right), give it the same release date as the original, and click Distribute (bottom right).
Once this is done send us support ticket and we will merge the two tracks together, back into one beautiful release.
