The TikTok Commercial Music Library (CML) provides businesses with access to a worldwide catalog of more than one million pre-cleared tracks. Its purpose is to make it simple for businesses to find music that is authorized for use in TikTok content without having to arrange individual music licenses. The catalog spans a broad range of genres, styles, and territories and features music from independent and emerging artists, as well as major music companies. Music available through the CML is free for businesses to use.
Using Music for Commercial Content
Music from TikTok’s standard music library is intended for non-commercial use and should not be used by businesses for commercial activities. When creating content for a business or brand, music should instead be selected only from the Commercial Music Library.
This applies to commercial uses such as:
- Regular/organic business posts, including Duets, Reactions, and Stitches
- Paid TikTok advertising
- Branded or promotional content
Setting up your Music for the TikTok CML through Releese
To include your music in the CML please send Releese Support a list of UPCs that you would like to submit to TikTok, via our Request Submissions Page, or an email to help@releese.io, with the subject listed as TikTok CML.
PLEASE NOTE : The submitting party must fully control or have obtained all rights necessary to authorize TikTok's commercial use of the recording and underlying composition, including use in organic branded content, paid advertising, and other commercial placements. Tracks containing third-party material, samples, beats, loops, remixes, covers, or other licensed elements may be ineligible where the applicable license does not grant these rights. It is the responsibility of the submitting party to ensure all rights are fully in place.
